Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 22, 2026

This policy explains what information Team Forte collects when you use team-forte.com or request a roof inspection, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can control it. Team Forte is a trade name of GR Brothers LLC, 161 Main St, East Berlin, CT 06023.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit our free inspection form, respond to a text, or call us, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • The property address where work is being considered
  • What is going on with your roof — the issue you select or describe
  • Your SMS consent choices — which boxes you checked, and when

If you become a customer, we also keep records related to your project: estimates, contracts, invoices, photographs of the work, warranty documentation, and our correspondence with you.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, team-forte.com automatically receives technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, how you arrived at the site, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from cookies and similar technologies described in section 5.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver's license number, bank account or credit card numbers through this website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2. How we collect it

We collect information through the inspection request form on our website, through our exit-intent popup form, when you call or text us, when you email us, and during in-person visits to your property. SMS consent is collected only through an explicit checkbox on our web forms — never pre-checked, and never assumed from a phone call or an email.

3. How we use your information

  • To contact you about your inspection request and schedule a visit
  • To prepare and send your written estimate
  • To perform and manage work you hire us to do, including ordering materials and scheduling crews
  • To send you service messages about your project — appointment confirmations, crew arrival times, job updates
  • To send you marketing messages, such as seasonal roof maintenance reminders and special offers, only if you separately consented to those
  • To support an insurance claim, when you have asked us to
  • To honor warranty obligations
  • To keep business, tax and legal records
  • To understand how our website is used so we can improve it

4. Text messages (SMS)

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number, your SMS consent, or your SMS opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Your consent to receive text messages from Team Forte stays with Team Forte.

The only parties that ever touch this data are the messaging and CRM providers who deliver the messages on our behalf, and they are contractually permitted to use it only to provide that service to us.

We send two kinds of messages, and you consent to each separately: service messages about your inspection, scheduling and job updates, and marketing messages such as seasonal maintenance reminders and offers. Consent to either is not a condition of hiring us.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of any message at any time — you will get one confirmation and then no further texts to that number. Reply HELP for help, or call (860) 854-9335. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to keep the site working properly, and to measure how it performs.

Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) on team-forte.com. It tells us how many people arrived from our Facebook and Instagram ads and how many went on to request an inspection, and it allows us to show ads to people who visited our site. This means Meta Platforms, Inc. receives information about your visit — the pages you viewed and technical details like your IP address — and may connect it to a Facebook or Instagram account.

You can control this through your Facebook ad preferences, or by using your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker. Blocking it does not affect your ability to use our site or request an inspection.

Website and form analytics

Our website platform records basic usage and form-submission data so we can see which pages and forms work and which do not. This is aggregate performance data, not a profile of you personally.

Do Not Track

Browsers differ in how they send "Do Not Track" signals and there is no common standard for responding to them, so our website does not currently respond to them. The controls described above do work.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers who work for us — our CRM and messaging platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector), our website host, our email provider, and similar vendors. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Suppliers and subcontractors — when a specific job requires it, and limited to what that job requires, such as a delivery address for materials.
  • Your insurance company — only when you have asked us to support a claim.
  • Advertising and analytics partners — Meta, as described in section 5, receives website activity data. This never includes your SMS consent.
  • Legal requirements — when we are required to respond to a subpoena, court order or lawful request, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • A business transfer — if GR Brothers LLC is sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who would remain bound by this policy.

7. How we protect your information

Information you submit through our website is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Customer records are held in our CRM behind password-protected accounts, and access is limited to the people at Team Forte who need it to do their jobs. Paper records such as signed contracts are kept secured at our office.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by Connecticut law.

8. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that do not become jobs — up to 3 years, then deleted.
  • Customer project records — kept for the life of the applicable warranty plus 6 years, so we can honor warranty claims and meet contract and tax record requirements. For replacements with lifetime warranty solutions, this means we keep them indefinitely.
  • SMS consent and opt-out records — kept for as long as we message you and for at least 4 years afterward, because carrier and federal rules require us to prove consent and honor opt-outs.
  • Website analytics data — retained according to each platform's own schedule.

An opt-out record is the one thing we keep even after you ask us to delete your data — we have to, so that we do not message you again by mistake.

9. Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

  • Stop texts — reply STOP to any message.
  • Stop emails — use the unsubscribe link, or ask us.
  • Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to the records we are legally required to keep (section 8).

Email [email protected] or call (860) 854-9335 and we will handle it. We do not charge for these requests and we will not treat you differently for making one. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or deleting records.

Connecticut residents have rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act. Whether or not that statute applies to a business our size, we honor the requests above for everyone who asks.

10. Third-party sites

Our website links to third-party sites such as Thumbtack and Google. Once you follow a link, that company's privacy policy governs, not ours. We are not responsible for their practices.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we make a change that materially affects how we use information we have already collected from you, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
